GreenCert™ Agriculture The C-Lock™ GreenCert™ agricultural process is a web-based carbon information management tool that precisely and accurately measures greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and emission changes. It allows agricultural producers to quantify the impact of specific land-use management practices on the sequestration of carbon in soil and vegetation for specific agricultural land parcels. Also, it aggregates carbon offsets for individual land parcels into units that can be efficiently marketed. The system has been designed to serve as an interface for linking agricultural producers, carbon scientists and policy makers, and those who wish to purchase carbon emission reductions or offsets. C-Lock Certified Carbon Emission Reduction credits (CCERs) are transparent, validated, and readily verifiable by an independent third-party. Beyond cropland carbon sequestration, C-Lock’s scientists are developing processes and systems to quantify GHG emission changes in rangeland and forests as well as mitigation of nitrogen oxide and methane emissions, and to document whole-farm carbon accounting.
